KINGDOM. loves to support brands and designers who share the same passion as us for ethical sourcing, ethical processes, ethical production, good causes, and wicked design. However, seeing as we can't just force all of these people to move into a giant share-house with us to create some ethical and artsy wonderland of a home/studio, we occasionally get together and hold markets (so that we can at least spend a day together). Brands that have been involved in past markets include Jacob & Esau, Thrd Eye, Charcoal + Twine, Nothing From Nowhere, A Good Space, and Capulus Roastery.
So far we've had three Ethical Fashion Markets (June 2014, November 2014 & June 2015), and are aiming to host them at least once a year. Our first two EFMs raised just over $3000 for the Box Hill Salvation Army's Community Support Services, and the profits from our most recent EFM contributed towards the ongoing work of KINGDOM.
If you're a brand or designer that would like to get involved, and you feel like your values align with ours, drop us an email! We always love welcoming new members into the KINGDOM. family. PLUS it's brilliant to have the opportunity to work/network with other likeminded people in order to kick social justice goals! We are most definitely better together.
'Love from, KINGDOM.' was a three-part event that we held in January 2015 to launch KINGDOM. (albeit 12-months late), fundraise for our future projects, as well as thank all the wonderful people who helped us during our first year of life. We showcased the work of members of the KINGDOM. family, dreamed about the future, and ate a lot of cake.
